Ghana Women’s Development with Esther Annor
Ms. Esther Manyeyo A. Tawiah, Professor of Bible, Theology & Women's Development, heads Ghana Women’s Development in Ghana. Many women in the rural areas do not have access to education or training so through Bible study groups we provide literacy and vocational training. We are also working to train women to become leaders in their villages to reach more women in need.
"Esther had a busy year leading bible studies, speaking at leadership conferences, and continuing her teaching commitment at the Seminary. The women’s bible study was held throughout the year, twice a month with an average of 30 participants. Most of the women have not had the opportunity to receive education and are illiterate, so we are focusing on literacy and vocational training alongside the bible study to empower these women. There is a big need for training women leaders to start more bible study groups."
